FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO I HAVE TO COMPETE IN MEETS?
No, we will never make you do anything. MSU running club is all about catering to the wants of its members. We offer opportunities to compete in several levels of competition, including varsity, club, and local. We encourage people just to come out and enjoy the great sport of running.
DO I HAVE TO PAY TO JOIN?
We do collect $50 in dues from each member, but we strongly encourage people to come to a few practices and see what we are all about. If you want to become a full-fledged member, then pay the $45.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO COME?
We meet everyday at 5 pm at IM West, but do not expect everyone to show up on a regular basis. Every day is optional and it is up to you what days and how often you come.
IS RUNNING ALL YOU DO?
We do run a lot, yes, but that is not all that we do. During the track seasons, we also go to some meets where field events are offered. We also do a lot of social events, like going out to eat, seeing a movie, camping, staying at a cottage, and football games. We are always looking for new and exciting ways to have fun!
